|Starting a new school year without the essentials has a detrimental impact on a child’s education potential and can leave them feeling isolated. In the ACT, there are almost 9,000 kids living in poverty.
Throughout January, GIVIT in partnership with the ACT Government will be seeking donations of new Back to School items for local kids in need. GIVIT is reaching out to local organisations to host stationery drives at their workplace. Each organisation will be allocated a specific stationery item (such as exercise books, glue sticks or pencils) and staff are invited to purchase a stationery item and drop it into a collection point at your workplace.
The Appeal runs until Friday 25 January. For more information about the stationery drive and how your company can get involved, please contact Caroline Odgers, GIVIT ACT Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
